Underneath it all it's Rosalind's that keeps you looking and feeling beautiful

When we met with Denise and Tara of Rosalind’s Lingerie, we knew there was something 'uplifting' about these fun and energetic women. They are both friendly and approachable. With great service, ultra high quality lingerie, and a 25 year track record for being amazing, Rosalind's Lingerie is where a bride goes when she needs those essentials for her wedding day and honeymoon. Denise and her daughter Tara have made it their life’s mission to make sure that every bride is a well dressed bride 'underneath it all'. Let us explain... Denise says, “Your body is like a house. You need to start with good foundation!” With 18 years of experience in the 'foundation' business, Denise knows what she’s talking about. “Think of it this way, if you are uncomfortable throughout the entire day, how does that reflect in your mood? Or if you aren’t wearing the right size strapless bra, how does that affect your appearance in your strapless gown?”... click for full story

money saving tips for planning your wedding

Prioritize

The best wedding planning advice that I ever received was to rank what was important to me from most important to what I could do without. When the budget doesn't allow for every whim and wish, think about which elements you envision in your perfect wedding day. Make those specific things your priority and work your budget out from there. There are no rules that say that every wedding must have $200 glass slippers (as beautiful as they are)... so if that's not important to you, don't stress about it! Spend the money on what will make the day memorable for you.

Communicate

It's easy to sometimes forget that the people you are hiring for your wedding day services are people... with so little time on your hands during the planning process, sometimes you neglect to communicate with them. By taking the time to really talk with your potential wedding professionals, you will not only make sure that you've got the right match for what you want for your wedding... you can also work out how their services can fit into your budget. There's no harm in being completely honest about how much you have to spend on a particular area, and working with them on making it happen.

Hire

While the word hiring does imply spending money, this one task can quite possibly save you the most. By hiring the right experts to help you, you can feel safe knowing that your money is well spent.

Research

By taking on the responsibility of researching what tasks, knowledge and experience are needed to make a successful wedding, you will be able to easily spot which professionals can be trusted with the job. Talking with other brides who have gone through the same things that you have, reading articles and planning books, and, well... by visiting The Ring... you can learn the ins and outs about who you need to do what. You might even realize that you can do some of it on your own. And you'll definitely learn that the least expensive professional isn't always the best, or the best suited for what you need.

Improvise

Now's the time to get in touch with your creative side! Maybe you have the talent to hand make your own invitations... or maybe you want to tackle making your own wedding cake. With a little improvising combined with knowing your own strengths you can cut costs and have fun. Throw a party to have your bridal party, friends and family help you with whatever you've decided to try doing yourself. That's what they're there for!

A Universal offers luxury transportation and service to local brides... When the staff at The Ring visited with A Universal on their expansive grounds located between St. Thomas and Aylmer, we were blown away by what we thought, originally, might have just been another limousine company. Winexpert shows The Ring what the 'buzz' is all about... A local make-your-own wine store has become ultra-attractive to brides and grooms over the years, and for several good reasons... This 'on-premise winery' teaches couples how to cut wedding wine costs by up to 70%, add a personal touch (and taste) to their wedding reception, and then top it all off by custom designing classic gifts for guests to take home. When you make your own wine with Winexpert, you are looking at three easy steps, lots of personal help, and a finished... more?

Even with tons of weddings on the go, clients filling their rental locations, and lots on their plates, the three owners of Collins Formal Wear - Lynda, Brad and Curt Collins never fail to provide exceptional service to each of their clients. It's for this reason, and for their extensive selection of high quality, exclusive formal wear, that The Ring decided every groom should know... more?

French Italian couple serves up huge wedding menus for all budgets... H&M Catering’s owners, Rosette and Patrice, work all the time, never see their home, don’t guard their price list, don’t have dozens of hidden charges, and they love their business. H&M Catering offers wedding menus in country-style, sit-down or buffet-style... more?
