Putting the proof in his work, d'Vision Imaging finds your comfort zone

Dean Landry, Photographer and Designer at d'Vision Imaging, is a unique, local talent whose plans for the future are designed primarily around local brides. This photographer believes that before you can photograph a wedding you must first put the focus on making a connection with the bride and groom. "Meeting the couple in person, talking with them and listening to their ideas and their story is my first priority, well before taking any photos," says Dean.

When staff at The Ring had the opportunity to meet with Dean, it was easy to like him right away. There was no question that he loves the art of wedding photography. His display of photos were a mix of fun, romantic and sometimes off the wall images, showing that with d'Vision Imaging, your options are wide open. Since graduating in 2002 from Fanshawe College with a Diploma in Photography, Dean has had plenty of hands on experience working with photographers, both locally and in Toronto. It is knowing that Dean's love for his work and for your wedding day are real that makes all the difference. Let us explain...

Personally speaking...

On a personal level Dean is easy to like. His authentic love for his work... click for more

Post subject: What to do with a baby for the wedding

"Okay so we are getting married next spring. I am still in planning stages but it is coming along great. The only thing is I have a 5 month old daughter who will 1 shortly after we get married. It's not she's the problem because she was heaven sent to us. What do i do with her for the ceremony & reception. My parents aren't from this area they are flying in the day before. Besides I am sure they don't want to babysit during their daughter's wedding. I need some good advice because I really want our daughter to be there not with some babysitter. I have found some ceremonies that the children..."

Post subject: Got more done!Pics to come soon!Bachelorette Party Saturday!

"Ok...so I guess the count down begins...I feel like I still have one million things to do. I just started back at work again last week after a year of maternity leave, we just moved into our house last week and now there is only one month left!!!??? I feel like my head is spinning! We still don't have our internet hooked up at home so I feel kind of lost as I don't get to check the site here at work much.
Here is what we have left to do.
-Put together the church programs
-buy ring bearer and flower girl gifts
-finalize all our plans w/ most vendors
-do seating chart after i call people to see if they are coming or not (rsvp's are still coming in!)
and its funny because I can't even remember what else...but i know there is a ton of stuff to do!..."

Post subject: I am nuts??? BTS, a wedding and no income!!!

"So to give you all a little background I've always wanted to be a teacher and last spring I didn't get into school...but as they say all things happen for a reason. The upside to this past year has been falling in love with FH and I got into teacher's college this year. Had I got in last year I never would have met him. Now not only am I going back to school but planning a wedding...YIKES(a good yikes but yikes none the less)!!!

But it seems that since I got into school things are just spinning out of control. As if school and a wedding wasn't stressful enough..."

Post subject: Our Wedding - Sept 16, 2006

"September 15, 2006
What a Day!
I got up and did my nails and eyebrows. Went shopping with one of my bridesmaids for some last minute stuff. Went back to my house and visited with my grandparents and my godmother and I tied up the programs.
The Reception Hall called to confirm for the wedding dinner. While we were talking I wanted to confirm for tonight we would have extra people at the rehearsal dinner... He didn't have my reservations written down... ack!..."

Winner announced!

Congrats Ashleigh!

She has won a $100 shopping spree in The Wedding Shoppe! Ashleigh has just gotten married on October 7, 2006 in Sarnia, Ontario.

"Well...I'm pretty proud of my FH for going the lengths we went to find stones and design a ring - so I figured I should post the story. We've been together 7 years now (we were highschool sweethearts) and we had been talking about marriage for almost a year. I figured that we were ready to move to the next 'stage' of our relationship and to be honest, was thinking it may never happen. For my birthday, he had took me to a quiet cabin retreat in the Squamish Valley in B.C. It was perfect. The next day, we went for a drive along logging roads, and he pulled over at a beautiful spot where we were surrounded by a panoramic view of gorgeous mountains! Here is where he presented me with my 'gift'...a gorgeous diamond and sapphire ring and a beautiful poem where he asked me to marry him! The sapphire stone was handpicked (over the internet) directly from the mine in Australia from Aussie Sapphires in the Reddestone Creek area of New South Wales. The mine is both an ethical source of stones as well as an environmentally sound operation. These points were of course very important to me, which is in contrast with most sources of gemstones around the world. The Diamonds where also from Australia..." click for the full story

If Men Were In Charge of Planning Weddings...

There would be less "Oh Promise Me" and "Endless Love", and more "Louie, Louie" and "Mony Mony".

There would be a 'Rehearsal Dinner Kegger Party'.

Bridesmaids would wear matching blue jean cut-offs and halter tops. They would have NO tan lines and more skin showing than not.

Tuxes would have team logos on the back and the Nike shoes would have matching team colors.

June Weddings would be scheduled around basketball play-offs.

Vows would mention cooking and sex specifically but omit that "forsaking all others" part.

The couple would leave the ceremony in a souped up '73 Charger or some other Mopar with racing tires and flame designs on the side of the car. Better yet, a Harley!

Idiots that tried to dance with the Bride (unless they were really old) would get punched in the head.

Big slobbery dogs would be eligible for the role of Best Man.

There would be 'Tailgate Receptions'.

Outdoor weddings would be held during sporting events at half-time or between innings.

Ceremonies would be short and Honeymoons would be long.

Ceremonies and Honeymoons would be inexpensive compared to the cost of the Bachelor Party. Those strippers and liquor sure do add up.

Men wouldn't ask...."Well, what do you think, Dear, The Burgundy or the Wine colored napkins?" They'd just grab extras from their local pub or tavern.

Favours would be matchbooks and cigars. Better yet, free drink passes at the local lounge.

The bride's dress would show cleavage, her navel, and be form fitted to her butt.

Instead of a sit down dinner or a buffet, there would be a hog roast or buckets of chicken, pizza and plenty of barbeque.

No one would bother with that 'Veil Routine'. But they would insist the garter be as high up on her leg as it would go.

The bridal bouquet could be recycled from a previous funeral or something.
